The Oscar Ewen Art Commission Process

I have spent the last few years refining my commission process so that you can be confident that your ideas are heard, developed and produced to the highest quality. I work closely with collectors looking for commissioned pieces to ensure I can create the desired outcome.

Research

Before submitting a request, take a look at my current portfolio, you can see my style of art and decide whether it matches with the vision for your piece.

Submit A Request

Once you've had a chance to look through my work, please submit a request form or get in touch directly. I will then get back to you to discuss your ideas further.

Brief Creation

We shall work together to turn your initial ideas into a detailed and developed brief that includes art style, materials, and size of art commission.

Material Purchase

Once a brief has been created I shall provide you with a rough completion date and then purchase the required materials for the project.

Creation

I will begin to create your requested commission. I often keep in touch with collectors through the creation stage as well as posting regular updates on all my current projects on my Instagram.

Hand Over

Once I've completed the commission we can discuss the best possible hand over and any futher resquests such as framing.

The majority of my pieces are cityscapes and buildings using colour and detailed line work. For examples of my work please take a look at my portfolio and social media.

What Styles Can You Provide?

This is very much dependent on the size and subject of the commission. Generally, a detailed A3 size cityscape piece would take around 6-8 weeks to complete. However, timescales can be discussed during the brief creation phase.

How long does the art commission process take?

I work mostly with ink and paints. Paints to create coloured backgrounds or blocks of colour, and darker inks to help detail those colours into sections. When creating a commission, I always using high-quality papers and cards. However, I will also create certain projects on canvas if requested.
