NN State Of Mind 2022

NN State of Mind is an aerial shot of my hometown, Northampton. My approach was to do something different from previous aerial pieces by incorporating vibrant colours that wouldn’t generally be associated with Northampton. Having a pretty bleak town centre, I thought by adding colour, it would help to change people’s views on Northampton’s town centre and show the area in a different light.

This was a fun piece to do which took a couple of months to complete but was my first step into working on a canvas properly. The colourful aerial piece is on a 60x90cm canvas and I feel was a turning point to the way I approach my artwork and a piece that has helped me find my style.
